Cappuccino Marble
Cappuccino marble, also known as Cafe Au Lait, Frappuccino, or Antique de Meuse, belongs to the 'soft quartzite' category. This means that this type of stone is slightly harder and more resistant to acids than regular types of marble.
The beauty of Cappuccino marble lies in its rich, layered structure. Dark brown tones alternate with lighter nuances, creating a beautiful spectacle. Each block of Cappuccino marble is unique, with natural features such as small holes, similar to travertine. The quality of the marble depends on how these natural features are filled, which is an important criterion in the selection.
In addition to variations in size and the filling of the characteristic holes, the drawing and structure of the marble is also essential in the selection. As you can see on this page, there are different variants of Cappuccino marble available, depending on the location in the quarry where the blocks come from. This selection is therefore very diverse and personal. In general, the Cappuccino marble blocks are relatively low, with a height of approximately 125 cm. This is important to consider when designing, especially if you have a kitchen island in mind that is wider than this size or with mitered edges, as a full slab of Antique de Meuse may not be available.
